Professional Review

Fernbus Simulator is an intercity bus driving sim game, which takes you to a 20 thousand kilometers bus journey. Enjoy spectacular views of the German cities and towns, transport the passengers with care and avoid various obstacles on the road. Download Fernbus Simulator and be the boss on your bus!

Graphics 3.5/5

Fernbus Simulator game looks amazing and very authentic. Sunbeams reflected by the polished, sometimes cracky asphalt. Sleek and decrepit NPC vehicles. Gorgeous sunsets, foggy dusk, evening rains, busy German autobahns — the game dictates a new mood every hour, taking your imagination to the dream bus trip.
Sadly there are numerous issues:

  • Stuttering fps;
  • NPC characters' sudden teleportation;
  • Surprise game crashes.

They seriously cripple the charm that the picturesque graphics are charged with. At least the custom messages for passengers, which you can create, serve as a nice little consolation.

Gameplay 4.5/5

In Fernbus Simulator gameplay your main objectives are picking up passengers and taking them to the destination safe and sound. Sometimes it includes grabbing their ticket money.

The developers collaborated with the MAN bus manufacturer to bring you two highly accurate models: Lion's Coach Bus and Lion's Coach C. Both your cabin and the passenger compartment boast of miniscule, almost microscopic work on details: seats, handrails, windows, air conditioner, tickets and leaflets on the floor, etc.

As you gain more XP points, you can customize your bus by recoloring it. And of course, there'll be real-life hazards any bus driver can encounter traffic jams, unfavorable weather, road repairs, accidents and so on. Despite them, you must stick to your schedule.

But it's worth it, especially when you get to see some of Germany's most wondrous cities: Dresden, Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, etc. Different camera angles are a grand plus. But Fernbus Simulator system requirements aren't merciful: 6 GB RAM and 45 GB of HDD.

Controls 4/5

An intercity bus isn't the easiest vehicle to pilot. The game proves it by putting an accent on the realistic movement physics. But the more routes you take, the more accustomed you grow to your new job. And a wheel controller will make it absolutely wonderful.

Replay Value 3.5/5

There's a lot to see in the Fernbus Simulator game. A lot of destinations to reach. A lot of passengers, who impatiently wait for you. You will spend hours on covering the distance of 20k kilometers — almost 12.5 thousand miles. And it is a lot of fun, only occasional game's fatal crashing and graphics issues may sometimes undermine your cruising.

As our Fernbus Simulator review thinks, the game deserves praise for joining forces with the Flixbus company, which specializes in a bus traveling. A lot of Fernbus Simulator gameplay components — selling tickets and learning of the passengers' destinations — add a nice feel of completion to the overall atmosphere. As soon as the bugs get fixed, it'll flourish into a magical sim.

Download Fernbus Simulator if you enjoy lengthy, introspective gameplay and never shy away from multitasking!
