Call of Duty: Black Ops is a tactical shooter game available for Xbox. In CoD you play as a top-trained elite soldier, who's been prepared for covert operations. But one day, the protagonist opens the eyes only to find that he was captured and interrogated by an unknown organization. And what's even worse, he almost completely lost the memory of his past... Download Call of Duty: Black Ops — one of the most iconic FPS's!
CoD's visuals were remarkable in 2011. And they are still pretty satisfying today, despite humble Call of Duty specs. Every location, where you find yourself bringing bullet storms to the hostiles, is quite atmospheric and believable. E.g., the Russian prison camp conveys the grim vibe of coldness and desperation, thanks to the clever color choice, picturesque cloudy skies, and decorations, which portray a decrepit gulag.
Having occasional hiccups, CoD can boast of pretty smooth fps flow. And even when you take the whole army down — helicopters, snipers, quadbikes — the visuals don't lose their violent tempo, stuttering very rarely. Every weapon feels unique and tactile. And the sound effects never fail to take your imagination to a sneaking mission in the middle of a Havana's night or a riot somewhere in Siberia.
CoD will take you through the protagonist's memory landscape, as he's forced to re-assemble the puzzle of his previous life. There will be a brutal upheaval in the Soviet prison, silent infiltrations, guerilla-like fights in the narrow urban streets, etc. Additionally, various vehicles are at your service: some may be piloted, while in others only the gunner's seat is vacant. All in all, 6-8 hours of Call of Duty gameplay, will take you through a reckless journey.
Call of Duty game online offers more hours of fun. There's a variety of maps and unlockable weapons: Sten, Thundergun, MP 40, Skorpion, etc. To get better and bigger guns, you must earn the XP points by being a sharpshooter. As a special temptation, for a successful killing spree, you get a remotely controlled toy car, stuffed with explosives.
This Call of Duty review promises that the Xbox controls for this game are standard. RT is for fire, X for reloading, Y for switching weapons, etc. Some buttons perform dual functions, so be careful not to use the phone instead of crouching, when pushing B.
Replay Value 4.5/5
The game's story campaign isn't extensive. But Call of Duty play online garners a lot of fun, especially when you can blow the entire enemy squadron with the "surprise" car. Odds are, this shooter will become a long time dedication for you.
Call of Duty: Black Ops may be old, but it still proves to be enjoyable. Especially now, when a lot of devoted fans decry the newest entry on the series. It has an intriguing back-story, dynamic gameplay, blood-soaked battles and a great multiplayer. Besides, there's a zombie expansion.
Download Call of Duty: Black Ops if you both appreciate classics and a good, mighty gun fight!
