Slime Rancher is an adventure and farming simulator game for Xbox One X. It also incorporates strategy and grinding elements. Collect slimy blobs to store them in the corrals, make them drop the plorts and get yourself a whole fortune. Download Slime Rancher to build the first successful slime business in the galaxy!
Slime Rancher game size isn't formidable, but in return, it offers you a zany universe composed of juicy colors. It's quirky, a bit ridiculous and eye-friendly. The Far Range seems to be a sunny planet with a feel-good vibe integrated into its alien DNA. The tempo of the sim is upbeat and smooth: fps + physics make you feel like a relentless slime hunter. The grimaces and sounds the slimes make are sometimes enormously adorable.
Slime Rancher gameplay revolves around hunting, snatching and milking the slimy guys, which you'll encounter on their home planet — this place is referred to as Far Range. There are countless types of these beasts you'll have to deal with:
- Golden, etc.
Once you spot them, you should immediately suck the slimes in your vacpack, which works like a hoover — they will be stored there for some time. However, you can't snatch the golden slimes. Instead, you must throw at them an item from your inventory. The Golden (Lucky) slime after being hit, will explode, dropping valuable loot.
As soon as you've amassed a solid number of slimes, you should put them inside a corral. It's a special container, which turns into a henhouse. Your slimy prisoners must be properly fed, so they'll drop plorts — their valuable feces. Plorts can be sold on the market; however, their price is unstable and changes all the time, going up or down. For the cash you earn, you can upgrade your vacpack.
There are secret areas in the Slime Ranch game, which can be accessed if only you have a key. And to obtain that key, you must overfeed slimes called Gordos. It will be procured after they explode. Other slimes, just like gremlins, can't be overfed. Otherwise, they'll turn into Tars, the monster enemies. And there will be more hostile creatures, i.e., Carnivorous slimes, etc.
This Slime Rancher review has discovered that the game's controls need a bit of time to learn them. But they aren't too tricky: RB is for shooting, LB for vacuuming, X does interaction and pressing Right Stick summons a radar.
Replay Value 4/5
There are a lot of slimes to collect. And even more space cash to be earned. Besides, you may spend hours on the side quests, such as searching for the 7zee notes, which will grant you some neat upgrades — up to 100 slots in the vacpack. Slime Rancher price is only $20, but you get a ton of replayable content.
Slime Rancher full game is an innocent and delightful time-killer. It's good at relieving stress and just spending time at something enjoyable. Besides, our Slime Rancher review thinks it is a great game for kids.
