Fortnite is a multiplayer action PvP game that defined the Battle Royale popularity. Download Battle Royale for Xbox and join the battles with players all over the world!
Fortnite Concept 5/5
The concept of Fortnite is inspired by Battle Royale movie, where characters were deployed on the island to fight each other, and only one of the participants should survive. You only have a pickaxe when deployed, but there’s real weaponry to find in abandoned houses and select your weapons. Then kill anyone (except for your teammates if you play in a team) and try to stay alive.
The storm will drive everyone to the center of the island, so you can’t stay away from the showdown. Yet you can get some protection by building walls and roofs, and it’s easier to track enemies when you have high stairs. Building is an essential part of the process. The world is fully interactive so you can obtain materials by destructing everything, natural or artificial.
All the players start equal. There’s no upgrade system; those who pay for Battle Pass or buy V-bucks can get exclusive outfits or better missions, but no advantage in a real confrontation. You don’t have to pay anything to win unless you want.
Visuals Effects 5/5
Don’t expect photorealism from this game, but it’s really drawn well. It features a large open world in 3D, with an over-the-shoulder view, so your character is visible too. There are almost no arcade conventions (except for weapon silhouettes), and anything, from terrains to human movements, looks quite natural; not to simulation extent, but enough to make the game very beautiful, especially on 4K screens.
Audio Effects 5/5
Connect your best speakers (or rather home theatre), if you want to enjoy Fortnite the best way. The game supports 5.1 sound, and if you have your speakers positioned the right way, they’ll help you detect where and how far is somebody, is he running or riding, and where the shooting takes place.
Moving your character and changing weapons with the Xbox gamepad is quite easy, with settings just like in any other action game. It’s a bit more complicated when it comes to building, but, no matter whether you used to play on PC or are new to it at all, it’ll take no more than an hour to get used. The response is instant, and it can even provide an advantage over PC or mobile users.
Replay Value 5/5
There’s always something new: new partners and opponents, new seasons going on, new weapons you find, new skills you master. No matter how long you play, you get no advantage in your stats. On the other hand, all the others are just as equal. You may try various manners, tactics, weapon selection, and so on. A single game doesn’t take long. No wonder the game is still played by millions of those who were there at the start.
The game constantly evolves so we won’t spend half of Fortnite for Xbox review on changing elements. Tomorrow it will be essentially the same, but details defining the gameplay will vary. Well, if there was Battle Royale contest between BR games, we’d bet on Fortnite.
Though Fortnite isn't as hot and fresh today, it’s still one of the best Battle Royale games, and it still makes sense to download Fortnite for Xbox.
Pros : Free and fair gameplay;
Great visuals and a large evolving world;
Lots of weapons, vehicles, and other;
Constantly changing seasons with rewards and competitions;
Most current platforms supported.
Cons : Battle Royale isn’t that new;
The gameplay may seem monotonous;
Popularity attracted lots of lame players (but they can learn).
