GTA 4 is an action game, available for Xbox. It's about the adventures of a Serbian immigrant Niko Bellic in America's crime world. Help your idiot cousin to claim a higher position in the "food chain", do illegal jobs for your new shady friends, clash with Liberty City gangs and find those, who set up Niko's squadron 10 years ago. Download GTA 4 to be the most dangerous in the Slavic mafia world!
GTA 4 system requirements aren't big: its size is 6.5 GB. Though it can't compete with Rockstar's latest installment of the series — GTA 5 — Liberty City is still state of the art on its own. The signature landmarks of New York were carefully reconstructed to bring you the feel of the restless city: Lady Freedom, Coney Island, Watchtower, etc.
NY's weather has been photographed with the help of time-lapse technology. As a result, there will be breathtaking sunsets and moody rains. And nights too, in which darkness and LC's neon lights nicely clash, giving the vibe of the biggest city on earth. Sounds of the real New York only make the impression stronger. As a bonus, you can blast in your car an excellent collection of music: from Queen and Miles Davis to some authentic Russian radio.
This GTA 4 review guarantees you won't run out of stuff to do in the game. Your regular activities will include:
- Beating a few loan sharks black'n'blue;
- Doing jobs for the Italian mob boss Bocino;
- Preparing a bank robbery with Irish brothers McRearys;
- Dating Michelle;
- Sniping down union officials near Ground Zero;
- Bowling with Roman.
And these are only the central story missions. Hitman-style, GTA 4 action game incentivizes you to improvise and search for alternative ways to achieve your dark goals. Some of the missions are violently fast, like a scene from a James Bond movie. Others put to test your patience and strategizing talent.
Side quests are also abundant. You can do drug deliveries, partake in Brucie's races, become a headhunting vigilante or contribute to "Exotic Exports". All in all, there are 22 characters willing to give odd jobs. And if it's not enough, no one stops you from bullying random pedestrians and gun battling national guards.
The game has easy and simple control mechanics: RT is for shooting, LT for locking a target, D-Pad L/R for previous/next weapon, etc. You only need to remember that one button may have a few actions assigned to it and sometimes aiming feels dodgy.
Replay Value 4.5/5
GTA 4 gameplay is stuffed with side quests and random stuff you can do. Not to count 80 or so main story missions. And don't forget about the open world imitating New York! It's perfect for both free-roaming and bringing havoc with a grenade launcher.
GTA 4 game isn't as sleek as its successor, but it has a very involving story and the likable protagonist. Moreover, if you've been interested in the marginal part of the Slavic culture — this game could be a great manual. GTA 4 price for Xbox is just about 10 dollars, but you get an excellent crime saga in return.
Download GTA 4 and dive into the crooked underworld of gangsters, corrupt officials, assassins, addicts, hookers and, of course, cousin Roman!
